PIMECO

Company Description
PIMECO is a Singapore-based startup born out of a collaboration between Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Nanyang Technological University. We have developed a new class of biodegradable antimicrobial polymers targeting bovine mastitis, the costliest disease in dairy industry. Our proprietary poly-imidazolium (PIM) platform introduces a fundamentally differentiated mechanism that kills bacteria rapidly, safely, and without driving antimicrobial resistance. The technology and its mastitis application were published in Nature Communications. PIMECO is a platform technology with far-reaching potential across aquaculture, poultry, and human health. With validated technology, early commercial interest, clear regulatory and market pathways and strong academic backing, PIMECO aims to lead next-generation antimicrobial solutions.
