Check out OpenGov feature on research by Center for Environmental Sensing and Modeling (CENSAM) Interdisciplinary Research Group, and find out more about the researchers' cutting-edge innovations, such as:

  • Multi-mode optical sensing technology (LEDIF): Allows researchers to collect three-dimensional mapping data from bodies of water, helping them to assess the maritime conditions
  • Robotic stingrays: Novel swimming robots made of soft silicone with batoid-like flexible flapping foils that can potentially stay in marine environments much longer with minimal bio-fouling and capture accurate water measurements inside plankton blooms
